Soft Animal Somatic Coaching
You know in your heart that you’re magic.
Now it’s time to feel it in your bones.
The soft animal of your body has a story to tell.
Your nervous system is the keeper of all the stories of the harms and wounds you’ve lived through, past and present.
Like the soft animal body of a lost, terrified kitten, separated from its kin, shivering and hungry, your nervous system longs for a safe, dry, warm space where it can rest and heal.
Without the witness, validation, reassurance, and resources it needs, your nervous system—the soft animal of your body—remains stuck in a story where being vulnerable, being seen, being creative, being extravagant, being true, being wild is perceived as a survival threat.
And yet… your wild soul longs to create a different story.
Your wild soul—the part of you that was never wounded by trauma, the part of you that never lost its connection with Spirit and with the land—longs for connection and creativity, for wonder and play, for the kinds of expressions of fierce, tender love that fundamentally disrupt systems of oppression, for the kind of art and imagination that builds new, just, sustainable futures for all bodies.
Your wild soul knows that all that it desires is on the other side of risk, comes through messiness and experimentation, and is born of a willingness to dance with the mystery and the unknown—and it is not afraid.
And while the idea of “containing multitudes” is cool in theory, the lived experience of complexity tends to be painfully confusing and isolating.
How do we meet both our need for safety and our need for change?
How do we make sense of having these different parts that feel authentic and true to us, and yet that ask us for fundamentally different things?
How do we move forward and build new futures together when it feels like we’ve barely scratched the surface of healing from our past?
What does the soft animal of your body need to experience or receive in order to feel safe enough to freely choose to move towards what the wild soul wants?
This, my dear, is the question that you and I will explore together in our coaching container.
I often say that the best thing a coach can do is not so much to give you any answers, but to help you find the right question to ask.
And, pretty much all of the time, the right question is a variation on this one:
What this is
Eight 60-minute coaching sessions designed to help you:
Receive witness & validation of your lived experience, so that you may recognize & reduce the internal pressure of shame.
Identify the stories & strategies that are running the show, and dig into the layers to find the grief, unmet needs, and desire at their root.
Reclaim your agency—that is, your ability to make new choices based on your needs & values—and recognize all the ways in which you’re already a safe caregiver to yourself.
Name, recruit, and orient towards the resources, rituals, and practices that will support you as you expand your capacity to feel & receive.
Sessions are held on Zoom.
Who I work with
The people I work with tend to share many points of similarity. We’re probably a good fit if you identify with 2-3 or more of the following:
You hold one or more marginalized identity(ies): People of the global majority; queer & trans people; neurodivergent people; disabled/chronically ill people; fat people; people who have historically been fucked over by the dominant cishetero white supremacist patriarchal capitalist system.
You are neurodivergent. (Pretty much all of my clients have C-PTSD. Most of my clients of late are either late-diagnosed/identified as Autistic/AuDHD or ADHD, or are in the process of exploring where they might fit under the neurodivergent umbrella.)
You long to feel as safe and comfortable in you body as you do in nature.
You deeply value (and work hard towards) having reciprocal, attuned, and secure relationships, but you often struggle to feel seen and have your attachment needs met in relationships. (I often work with people in nonmonogamous relationships, and have been polyamorous myself for over 10 years.)
You either are creative, want to be creative, or used to be creative—in any case, you’re not living out your creative dreams, and you probably feel some shame & stuckness around that, and that prevents you from approaching your art with a sense of wonder and curiosity.
You are a seeker of meaning and truth, and you’ve been doing therapy and assorted other healing work basically forever. (Many of my clients are healers, space holders, or service providers themselves.)
You are deeply spiritual. You fuck with tarot (obvs), astrology, and other witchy shit.
You are politically engaged, and fighting both systemic and internalized oppression. You are fucking terrified and burnt out, and yet you haven’t given up hope on collective liberation and possible futures.
You vibe with a loud-mouthed, Autistic, Gen X stoner witch who loves recognizing patterns, sorting objects in rainbow order, wearing headphones indoors, watching horror movies, and listening to, like, a lot a lot of Taylor Swift.

Nice to meet you!
I’m fenn.
I’m a loud-mouthed, Autistic, Gen X stoner witch, and one of the ways I feel most alive is when I’m elbow-deep in the messy guts of someone’s story, and through offering witness, curiosity, and reflection, and by connecting dots and identifying patterns, I help them make sense of their lived experience, and help them access the resources that will make it possible for them to change the story of their nervous system.
I’ve been helping people change their state and their story since 2007 as a yoga teacher, yoga therapist, trauma repair & embodiment coach, tarot reader, writer, mentor, collaborator, and witch.
There is no such thing as becoming a witch. There is only becoming myself.
